HK is a world music artist who blends borders, in his music and in his lyrics.
Danser encore, a song created during the pandemic, has inspired millions of fans and travels beyond our borders. An contagious melody, a joyful irreverence, an irrepressible desire to meet, to sow and to love, to smile and to dance. "I have never lacked anything, especially love, in this proletarian working-class city where I saw the light of day; in these cities that shape you and form your character by making you swear never to let go; with the flavours of Portugal, North Africa and Italy, Ch'timi citizen of the world, Roubaix has made me who I am. ...". That's how Kaddour Hadadi, known as HK, who was born in 1976 in a working-class neighbourhood of this working-class town in northern France, describes himself. The son of a fruit and vegetable trader from Kabylia, he visited the markets at a young age to help his father: blue apron, cap and tap dancing -all to the delight of the customers. His first stage, so to speak!
