Born in Rome, waitered in Madrid, learnt in Ireland and later in Berlin: Filippo Bonamici's geographical key data, which she gathers at a young age between her still fresh vita, is more than in keeping with the European spirit. And what he then did in 2019, together with guitarist Felix A. Remm and producer Robert Stephenson (Mighty Oaks), when Fil Bo Riva captured his debut album "Beautiful Sadness", sounds at least as free-spirited as the idea of a united Europe. Since the first guitar at the age of ten, the years have passed, the places of residence have changed, but the love for music has remained. So the product design studies that had begun had to give way to concerts in Paris, London, Madrid or Berlin. Instead of in the lecture hall, they saw each other in Montreux or at the Great Escape. After their first EP "If You're Right, It's Alright" and tours as support act for Matt Corby, Joan As Police Woman or the Mighty Oaks, Fil Bo Riva is now a mature act between the stage lights, reconciling the best of indie rock and folk. Paired with a good deal of melancholy and a rubbing and roaring voice, which one usually knows from AnnenMayKantereit or Faber, the next big crooner of our time turns out to be here.
