The performance was inspired by "Video Vixens", scantily clad black women who appeared in hip-hop videos on MTV back in the late 1990s. Dutch choreographer and dancer Cherish Menzo has transformed the often cliche?d depictions into her material. In her multi-award-winning piece, the "Video Vixens" return to the stage - as Jezebel. Although she now refuses to be defined by others, looking for ways to craft her own image!
